So here's a quick timeline for March - April (Part 2 & 3... Will come)
March 2015
#1 - #jiabyinbali
Travelled to Bali with Jiayi for a media trip. Thank God for the opportunity because it was our first time going to Bali. Can you imagine, two girls in a dangerous country as such? Well, generally kind of dangerous. Risks must be taken to enjoy life. In no particular order, here are some of the sights of Bali.
Food's pretty much a big thing there.
If you want to know more about Bali, head down to our reviews of the trip on the site we're writing for!
Some tips if you're travelling to Bali:
1. Taxis are a NO-GO. You might get cheated and besides, it's safer and cheaper to hire a driver. We were really blessed to meet this young driver, Renox - who was only 23! To be honest, I was slightly skeptical at the start if we could trust this dude. We were afterall, just two girls in a foreign country that none of us have ever explored in before. However, he was a really nice dude and he even helped us to take photos!
Chat him up to find out more about his rates here!
#2 - #BKrayKray15
Graduation trip with the clique! After a hurried organisation, with much thanks to Annetta who really did the bulk of the bookings, we were off!
Managed to catch up with Aunty Kok, a close friend of my mom's!
One of the days that Sarah and I decided to explore for breakfast on our own, we chanced upon the superbly famous Wanton mee was actually.. just downstairs of our hotel! #besthotelever
Also managed to celebrate our unofficial graduation with some beers!
And of course we had to try the awesome After You toast, which was definitely heavenly!
Crispy on the outside, soft and buttery in the inside - it was gone in under 5 minutes.
And of course, one thing I love about Thailand, is the street food. I ate so much of these coconut pancakes but they weren't enough to satisfy me. These are really good, crunchy and exceptionally sweet - they were only about 20 baht? SO CHEAP.
And the standard coconut ice cream @ Chatuchak Market haha
Don't forget the other must eat street foods:
1. Fried Chicken
2. Thai Milk Tea
3. Mango Sticky Rice
4. Banana Chocolate Prata/Wrap
Headed for more Wanton Mee with the full gang on another day before more shopping hehe
Got the dress below for only 100 baht? Of course I regretted not buying more but by the time I got back to the hotel, it was too late.
On the flight back, we booked Scoot Biz tickets as there was some promotion and it was actually cheaper to fly Scoot Biz as compared to the usual budget ticket price. I definately enjoyed flying with Scoot because the aircraft was the old Singapore Airlines model, which as compared to the other budget carriers, much more leg room and space! (Though I obviously don't need the leg room with my height haha)
Thankful to have spent more time with Sarah during this trip as my roomie!!
Plus I've learnt my lesson to never order wine on board, it actually sucks.
April 2015
#1 - Good Friday
Served in Gkidz and acted for the Good Friday play. It was quite a fun experience and I loved seeing the kids laughing heartily at the whole play yet taking back the story of how much Jesus did for their little precious lives.
So glad to be on my Gkidz journey along with them!
#2 - Meiqi's bridal shower
Meiqi's bridal shower happened! It was the first bridal shower I attended, and it was quite an honour!
#3 - #familyfoundationfuture
Despite being in FCBC for many years, I've yet to attended a momentum conference. However, being I was made to attend, which I willingly agreed to and was thankful over my decision. I learnt a lot and took back plentiful from this conference.
#4 - Abby the Admin Assistant
I started working at Dun & Bradstreet Singapore as an admin assistant. It was quite an interesting role as I had to work direct with the company's CEO - a rare chance in Singapore's system of hierarchy, not to mention as a temporary staff?
Celebrated the end of the stint with some coconut ice cream discovered at Amoy market! It was average, melted a little too quickly in Singapore's humidity and definitely over priced.
That's two months and the rest will be up soon, I promise!
